3. Renewed Story

• Reorganized the overall structure and contents of the story.
• Our new story includes:
  
  • Messenger(NEW) : Scroll through the daily lives of the people in Extraordinary Science and
  • Technology Institute.
  • Mail : Check out the important news you must see.
  • Note : How is your work going? Leave some records of what is happening.
  • Observation Log(NEW) : Write down anything about the dimensions you saw, or something else…?

  ※ Some observation logs are automatically unlocked regarding your play records.

• Story Points:
  
  • Gain story points to check what is happening in the Extraordinary Science and Technology Institute.
  • Observe the dimensions: play the music or write an observation log to get story points!
  • Story points will automatically unlock next messages, mails, and notes!
• The Story starts from Zero again:
  
  • Former story progress is reset.
  • As mentioned above, some observation logs will be unlocked right after to help you catch up.

 

4. A new Currency: Discs and Cores

• Cores and Discs are new goods which are used for purchasing new musics.
• Discs
  
  • Discs can be earned by playing musics in the gameplay.
  • You can also purchase discs with cores.
  • Discs are used to unlock some musics!
• Cores
  
  • Cores can be purchased in the shop via payments.
  • Cores can be used to buy items and music packs!

 

5. Changes in some features

• Postbox(NEW): You can redeem items (ex. event rewards).
• Announcements: You can now tap the announcements or the top bar on the main menu to find out more about it on our home page!
• Music select: The list ‘Free Songs’ is now replaced by ‘All songs’.
• Checklist: removed due to story renewal.

 

6. Renewed Interface and Designs

• New title screen
• Full Combo / Perfect effects are now fancier!
• Improved countdown for continuing after pause
• Changed the design and contents for the stats screen.
• …and much more.

 

7. More Customizing features

• Express yourself with better customizing features.
• New note skins: Neon notes and Cyber notes.
  
  • We also gave new names for note skin A B C’s.
  • You can now preview the note skins in the settings.
• You can also change the background in the gameplay.
• Nameplates and Titles: new features to address yourself!
• You can also ‘like’ some of your favorite items.
  

  ※ Check out note skins and backgrounds in General tab in settings, nameplates and titles in the stats (accessed by clicking your profile in the main menu).
   

8. Improved Settings

• Settings became more specified.
  
  • General: Note speed, note skins, calibrate, background
  • Detailed: Other details in gameplay
  • Graphics: Graphic options including fps, resolution
  • Sound: Various touch sound effects
  • Others: Other miscellaneous settings
• New features include:
  
  • Toggle hard mode
  • Lower graphics
  • Deactivate special effects in UI
  • Translate music names to English

• Check out recent news from our newly-opened website!
• The website contains contents like introduction to costheta, notices, and game policy.
• You can also visit the website via announcements in the game.

 

10. costheta, Free to play

• costheta is FREE from now on!
• Anyone who has purchased costheta before will be compensated with 50 cores. Thank you for your interest and patience.
  
  • Gifts will be sent to accounts that have played costheta before v2.0 update.
  • Trial version accounts are not included.
